Monday Funday #35...Out Of Control and In Too Deep

Happy Monday all.  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  The kids and I have been busy now that they are on summer break.  We went to the Tulsa Zoo on Tuesday and spent the rest of the week resting and cleaning bedrooms. I'll try to get some pictures of the zoo up this week.

I also got to make a cute little Wiggles and Giggle blanket for a little girl. If she likes it well enough I may get to make another one.

If you would like to make one of your own, you can find my pattern HERE.

I've also been doing some reading since the kids have been off.  I managed to finish two books this week.
Wrangler in Petticoats  Wrangler in Petticoats
I am waiting, not so patently, for the third one.  I have it on hold at the library and can't wait to get it.

Mary Connealy has written around 14 books so far.  These two are the first ones I have read and are part of a The Kincaid Brides Series.  Most of Mary's Books are "Romantic Comedy With Cowboys". You can find a list of all of Mary's books HERE on her website.

Here is a little info about both books from Mary's website.

Out of Control

Rafe Kincaid controls everything in his life...
until he meets Julia.

Julia Gilliland has always been interested in the natural world around her. She particularly enjoys studying the fossils and formations in the magnificent cave near her father's house. The cave seems plenty safe--until the day a mysterious intruder steals the rope she uses to climb out.

Rafe Kincaid is a man used to being in control--of himself, his brothers, and his family's ranch. The last thing he expects is to find a woman trapped in the cavern on his land--or to be forced to kiss her!

Rafe is more intrigued by Julia than any woman he's ever known. But when their developing relationship threatens a reconciliation with his brothers, will Rafe have to choose between his family and this new love that could heal his troubled heart and secure his happiness?

Out of Control
History, Romance, Humor--and Cowboys!—from Bestselling Author Mary Connealy

In 1866 Colorado, Ethan Kincaid agrees to a marriage of convenience with the same casual disregard he gives every decision. Audra Gilliland, young mother of two, accepts his proposal because she wants to stop being a burden to her newly married stepdaughter.

And suddenly both of them are in far deeper than they'd planned.

Ethan doesn't expect Audra to affect him so profoundly, and when she begins to, he's terrified of the pain he's felt before when someone he loved was seriously injured on his watch. He's determined that his new wife will do as he says so he can keep her safe from the dangers that lurk on their ranch.

Audra has been cared for all her life by one man or another--and they've done a poor job of it. Now she's planning to stand up for herself. And her new husband had better agree or get out of her way!

What will it take to transform two wayward hearts fearful of getting in too deep into two trusting hearts ready to risk falling deeply in love?

I loved both of these books and had a hard time putting either one of them down.  All of Mary's characters are so real.  There is a cavern in both books and she describes it so well that you feel like you are down there exploring with the characters. There is a hint of mystery in these books as well.  I can't wait to read Seth's story in the third book.

If you would like to read the first book in the series, Out of Control, if is free for a limited time at AMAZON, CHRISTIAN BOOK DIRECT, and BARNES & NOBEL.  Just clink on the name for you favorite bookstore and it will take you directly to the link to download the book on you tablet, computer or smartphone. This is how I got my book. Be warned though once you start reading them you won't want to stop!!

Now that I have shared a little with you, I would love to see what you have been up to.  Link up below and share what you like.
